Davy Hamilton, a graduate of Stewart school, is now a senior at North High School. He attended Stewart during the years 1991-2001. He attended ABC for preschool and went onto Stewart. He liked creating maps in Social Studies. He said the most challenging subject for him was English and Reading. He participated in basketball, Spell Bowl and Math Bowl. In middle school he continued his pursuits in sports and in academic contests. In high school he was involved in student assembly, National Honor Society, football, rugby, wrestling and baseball. He said that he is very lucky that he has never been hurt in any of these sports.
Some of his memories were of Space Camp, Bradford Woods, Paging, recess, playing on the basketball team, hanging out with his friends, Capture the Flag and most of the teacher he had. He said that the transition from Stewart to middle school was exciting but also scary. He will be attending Miami of Ohio or the University of Michigan this fall. He plans to take part in the rugby team, student government and intramurals. He reeived an eight thousand dollar scholarship from the University of Iowa and an eleven thousand dollar scholarship from Miami. He said that is so excited to go to college but he is going to miss Columbus. His greates accomplishment was graduating from high school.
During his summers in high school he did a lot of summer jobs including running his own business, umpiring at Parks and Rec baseball and just enjoying the time spent with his family. He has traveled to many, many places and some fo them are Peru, Belize, Mexico, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Finland and England. In down time he will sometimes read, but most of the times he will play with his friends. His favorite book is probably Heart of Darkness and on a less serious note he likes the Harry Potter books.
Davy Hamilton has been a very valuable asset to ABC-Stewart School in many ways. These ways don't just include his accomplishments in sports but also the academic teams such as math bowl and spell bowl. We wish Davy our best for college, because knowing Davy Hamilton walked these hallways, we all feel more inspired to do our best.
